About me.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Postpartum Support International Certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master's in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
My training has been diverse; I have worked with adolescents, adults and families at both eating disorder and substance abuse facilities. I have also worked with clients in a wide variety of settings including residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs and private practice.
I have advanced training in treating trauma and have completed Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) training through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. The Institute for Creative Mindfulness is an EMDR International Association approved program (EMDRIA) and I continue to train with EMDRIA on advanced topics including treatment of eating disorders and postpartum disorders.
In addition to treating a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression and trauma, I have two specialty areas; eating disorders and maternal mental health. I hold a Certificate in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders as well as a Certificate in Infertility for Mental Health Providers from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
